Project: “Hello there!”

In mid April, our Teacher announced to us that we were participating in a project called “Hello There!” This project would connect us to Brazilian students. Its goal was to connect via a website called “Edmodo”. This site has got a very well structured platform, which makes it simple to communicate, share information,. The goal of the “Hello there!” project was basically to help the students from both countries improve their language and communications skills, in a fun setting.

We were divided into groups. Two argentinian students shared information about themselves with a Brazilian student.

Guada Noziglia and I were group 3, with Vinicius Magno.

He is 16 years old, from the city of Uberlandia.

He told me things about his life, like for example, that he wanted to work as a mechanical engineer, and his girlfriend (Isabella) is a girl who also participated in the proyect.

In my opinion, he has a very good musical taste, as he likes rock n roll bands such as AC/DC. He celebrates Easter with his family, they all gather at his uncle´s house and eat a lot of chocolate!

His teacher is Ana María Menezes, she is a friend of Miss Jennifer and has met her face to face. I thought she was really friendly and polite.

Something else I learned about Vinicius is that he likes playing football, as well as listening to electronic music.

Mi first impression about him was that he was a very outgoing boy.

To be honest, I never imagined I could communicate and be so open with someone who I had never met, and lives in a different country. I had a wonderful time sharing with my Brazilian friend, I hope we can keep in touch, and share even more about ourselves than what we did for the proyect.

I surely recommend Edmodo as a learning platform, because it was easy to share information and it was also safe!

I really enjoyed being part of this proyect and I wish I could do it all over again! It was very well organized.

To sum up, I believe this project was a wonderful experience, which I wish I could repeat!
